Top 10 films to watch on Valentine's Day 2016!

Sure... not everyone has their valentine with them this year on Valentines day. So to help you guys and girls out I've found some of the best romance comedies of the last decade, in no particular order, to make you forget your troubles. Just tuck up with a glass of wine and Netflix the night away...

The Proposal (2009)



After being warned that she will soon be deported to her native homeland Canada, book-editor Margaret Tate (played by Sandra Bullock) says that she is engaged to be married to her assistant Andrew Paxton (played by Ryan Reynolds) to save herself. Andrew decides to go ahead and help her out with this charade as long as a few conditions of his are met. The couple must stick to their plans throughout so that there is no doubt in the minds of officials... AND of-course somewhere along the way it becomes real.

Silver Linings Playbook (2012)



After being released from a mental institution, Pat Solitano (played by Bradley Cooper) goes to live with his parents Pat Solitano Sr. and Delores (played by Robert DeNiro and Jacki Weaver). While living with them he attempts to reconcile with his ex-wife but meets Tiffany (played to Jennifer Lawrence) who has problems of her own. And their relationship blossoms.

Trainwreck (2015)



Having never been in a relationship and always living a promiscuous life, magazine writer Amy (played by Amy Schumer) feels something new when she has to write a profile on sports doctor Aaron Conners (played by Bill Hader). The two seem to have a connection which Aaron is more than happy to explore and expand.

Lars and the Real Girl (2007)


Lars (played by Ryan Gosling) is a very shy and unsociable person and is always worried about by his siblings Karin and Gus (played by Emily Mortimer and Paul Schneider). But when he tells them he has a girlfriend from the internet they are overjoyed... until it turns out to be a life-size plastic doll. But on Dr Dagmar's (played by Patricia Clarkson) opinion they play along with it.

Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011)



After finding out that his wife, Emily Weaver (played by Julianne Moore), has been cheating and wants a divorce, Cal Weaver's (played by Steve Carell) perfect life suddenly breaks apart. He is taken under the wing of 'player' Jacob Palmer (played by Ryan Gosling) who teaches him how to date once again. Although Jacob ends up getting his own love interest Hannah (played by Emma Stone), the two stay strong friends throughout many hilarious experiences.

2 Days in Paris (2007)



Attempting to heal their relationship, Jack and Marion (played by Adam Goldberg and Julie Delpy) go on a trip to the most romantic city in the world - Paris. But the trip goes in a very bad direction from the start... while they go to visit Marion's parents. But will their relationship end up breaking in the romantic city of Paris?

Knocked Up (2007)



After a one-night stand with a very lazy and irresponsible Ben Stone (played by Seth Rogen), star journalist Alison Scott (played by Katherine Heigl) finds out she is pregnant. Unable to bring up the baby on her own she tells Ben that he must help her raise the child. Understandably, Ben is unsure whether he is 'father' material but he is given a chance by Alison through many funny experiences!

500 Days of Summer (2009)



After his girlfriend Summer (played by Zooey Deschanel) suddenly dumps him, greetings-card writer Tom (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) decides to go over the time he was in the relationship with Summer trying to find out where he messed up. By doing so he finds out what really matters to himself...

About Time (2013)



When Tim Lake (played by Domhnall Gleeson)is 21 years old he is told by his father (played by Bill Nighy) that the people in his family can time-travel. While trying to get a girlfriend, he meets Mary (played by Mary McAdams) who's heart he wins over with his time-travelling abilities. But as his life with her goes on, he learns that time-travelling can't help him with the ordinary problems in life. Will he end up living 'happily ever after'?

Many partner-less couples spend their nights partying in the city that never sleeps - New York! Check out their story in this hilarious film. Be sure to watch this in cinemas.
